I grew up in Taos, New Mexico and attended at the University of California Berkeley. I moved to the Nederland area immediately after graduating. My family and I remain here for the lovely mountain community, the great access to skiing, hiking, biking and more, and the proximity to Boulder, Denver and beyond.
I enjoyed traveling the world as a student and now am so delighted to share that passion with my family. I spent my Junior year of college in Jerusalem and explored many of the countries in that area, including Turkey, Syria, Jordan and Egypt. I spent the next few years exploring other parts of the world, including Europe, India, Nepal and Thailand. My wife and I enjoyed one of our bucket list destinations when we visited the Galapagos and spent another month traveling in Ecuador. More recently our family has been to Kenya, Europe and several countries in the Caribbean.
I am an avid skier, took up telemark skiing back in the early 90’s and continue to love the turn. I am also an avid baseball fan, have been a season ticket holder of the Colorado Rockies since their inception, and played on a 30 and over baseball team in Boulder for several years. I also coached baseball at Boulder High School for a year.
Nederland is small mountain town with a robust sense of community. I served as an active member of the Nederland Volunteer Fire Department for 12 years, and more recently was a Board member for the Fire Protection District for 6 years. I also was a member of The Nederland Library Foundation and worked to pass a bond to build our current library. I had the pleasure of being on the facility committee and took an active role in our Library’s design.
I received a degree from the University of Colorado in Elementary Education and am a licensed elementary school teacher. Both of my children have attended schools in the area since pre-school. Our oldest is now in High School and our younger child is finishing up at the elementary school. It is a great area to live and to raise a family.
I service the mountains above Boulder, including Jamestown, Ward, Nederland, Coal Creek Canyon, Rollinsville and the rest of Gilpin County, as well as all of the cities and towns in Boulder County including Boulder, Longmont, Lafayette and Louisville. I enjoy exploring our mountain communities with clients and going on what I call “Real Estate Adventures”, as there are so many different areas to explore and learn about.
I look forward to helping you with your adventure and finding the home or land of your dreams.
